Recorded mostly at home in lockdown and fuelled by the shrinking of our individual worlds, each track is about a destination or the travelling involved in arriving or leaving. These are all places I’ve been to. ‘Knotwood’ is played on the Gyil from Ghana - a pentatonic balafon. ’Leaving of Incheon’ was written to a film of the back-of-the-seat screen showing the underneath of the plane as we took off in Seoul. ’Special Bus Service’ speaks for itself. Each track has more details on its individual page. All instruments, real or otherwise, were played, recorded and mixed in my flat. Thank you to my neighbours as well - whoever you are.
